Will the insane person enter Paradise?

Scholars have differed regarding the insane: do they enter Paradise directly, or are they tested? The opinion that they enter Paradise directly is the sound and preferred view, due to His—the Almighty’s—saying: {And We would not punish until We had sent a messenger}. Others are of the view that they will be tested in the Hereafter; whoever obeys will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys will enter the Fire.
