Is the placement of the word of majesty "Allah" alongside the phrase "Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace" on walls, scrolls, books, or Qur'ans Islamically permissible?

We thank you for the alert and the advice. We inform you that Fatwa no. 52274 did not address paintings on which the name of Allah and the name of the Messenger are written together. Rather, Fatwa no. 101432 addressed this. In it, we clarified that their two names should not be hung together, especially if there is a fear that common people might be deluded into believing in equality between them. Absolute prohibition cannot be affirmed, because the conjunction of the two names is established in the texts of the two Revelations. However, whoever equates Allah and His Messenger in glorification or love has fallen into what is forbidden. As for mentioning the name in isolation, we have explained its details in Fatwa no. 63612. Mere writing is not equivalent to utterance; one who sees it might remember and affirm the oneness of Allah. Accordingly, absolute prohibition cannot be affirmed, and it is better to abstain, because this matter was not customary among the Salaf.
