Is the interpretation provided for the verses from Surat Maryam, especially "And there is none of you but will pass over it," correct in that it does not refer to believers and that believers will not see the Fire? And is the numerical classification of the foremost, the companions of the right, and the companions of the left, based on the verses in Surat Al-Waqi'ah, correct for giving glad tidings?

Researchers advise learning the interpretation of the Qur’an from scholars of Tafsir (exegesis) and paying attention to the interpretations of the early generations and what has been narrated from the Salaf (pious predecessors), because the methodology of the Salaf is the accepted one, and anything that deviates from it is not acceptable. A Muslim should acquaint himself with the correct interpretation, and the principle is to interpret the Qur’an literally. The people of knowledge have unanimously agreed that all people will approach Hellfire, and that the righteous will be saved from it. Scholars differed on the meaning of "approaching" (al-wurood). Some said it means actual entry, while others said it means passing over the Sirat (bridge). Some preferred the view that al-wurood means entry, and it will be cool and peaceful for the believers. As for the saying that less evil disbelievers will exit Hellfire, it is false, and the texts indicate the large number of the inhabitants of Hellfire. What is mentioned in Surat al-Waqi'ah regarding the division of people into three categories does not mean that only a few people are the inhabitants of Hellfire. Also, "thullah" means a group of people, and His saying, exalted be He: "A thullah (multitude) from the former generations And a few from the later generations," means that the forerunners from past nations are more numerous than the forerunners from this Ummah.
