What is the ruling on listening to or learning beatboxing, which is the production of music-like sounds with the mouth without instruments?

Beatboxing is an art form that relies on producing musical sounds using the mouth, nose, and throat. These human sounds, which resemble the sounds of musical instruments, are forbidden, whether in their performance or listening to them. The sacred texts did not restrict the prohibition of musical instruments to specific instruments but encompassed everything that falls under this general term. The prohibition of an instrument is not for its own sake but for the forbidden amusement it produces. These sounds are considered similar to the sound of music, and Islamic law does not differentiate between similar things. The consideration is given to the outcome of matters; if a human sound changes into a musical sound, then the consideration is given to what it has become, not its origin. The ecstasy produced by these sounds is similar to the ecstasy produced by musical instruments, which necessitates classifying them with musical instruments. As for human sounds that do not resemble the sounds of musical instruments, they are permissible.
