Won't the smoke destroy all disbelievers and polytheists, so why is it said that the polytheists will remain after the good wind takes the souls of the believers, to witness the rest of the horrors of the Day of Judgment?

Among the major signs of the Hour is the appearance of smoke that will fill the earth, affecting the believers like a cold, and entering the orifices of the disbelievers and hypocrites. This smoke will not destroy the disbelievers; rather, after it, a gentle breeze will begin to take the souls of the believers, leaving behind the worst of people upon whom the Hour will be established.
