Is the marriage of a Muslim man to a Christian woman who believes in the Trinity forbidden, and is having intercourse with her forbidden? What is the ruling on his daughters remaining with her if she does not convert to Islam? Is there a fear for them of being influenced by matters that contradict the Islamic religion?

The preponderant opinion among jurists is the permissibility of marrying women from the People of the Book, based on the words of Allah the Almighty: "And the chaste women from those who were given the Scripture before you" (Al-Ma'idah: 5). Imam Ahmad used this verse as evidence for the lawfulness of marrying them, stating that it is not abrogated. Furthermore, Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) married Na'ilah Al-Kalbiyah, who was a Christian.

The fact that a Kitabiyah (woman from the People of the Book) believes in the Trinity does not legally prevent her marriage, nor does it remove her status as a Kitabiyah, because the consideration is given to the origin of her heavenly religion. The Quran has distinguished between the People of the Book and the polytheists.

Therefore, marrying this woman is permissible. It is advisable to treat her kindly and show her the virtues of Islam, and to supplicate for her guidance, while striving to raise the daughters according to the values of Islam.
