Why do humans adopt the olive branch as a symbol of peace; is that related to it being a blessed tree mentioned in the Holy Quran?

The idea of adopting the dove and olive leaf as symbols of peace originates from what has been mentioned in some references, stating that Noah, peace be upon him, after the flood, sent forth the dove, and it returned with an olive leaf, announcing safety. Ibn Kathir mentioned this narration when interpreting the verse: "And it was said, 'O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your rain].' And the water subsided, and the matter was accomplished, and it settled on [Mount] Al-Judi. And it was said, 'Away with the wrongdoing people!'" [Hud:44]. This matter is merely a historical event that does not entail any ruling, nor should it be acted upon due to the absence of a legislative aspect in it. Had it been good, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would have done it.
