Is blessing attained in the home and life by planting an olive tree in it?
The olive tree is described in the Quran and as blessed. It is mentioned in the Almighty's saying: "Lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things." And it was narrated in the noble Prophetic Sunnah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it comes from a blessed tree." Ibn Ashour explained its description as blessed due to its abundant benefits, as its fruit, oil, and wood are beneficial, and the air in its groves is of good quality. Planting it at home or elsewhere brings its blessing through benefiting from its fruit, oil, or wood.
