It is permissible for someone afflicted with (obsessive doubts) to adopt the easier of the scholars' opinions to the extent of his need to repel these Waswas. However, to seek out dispensations when there is no need for them is blameworthy. As for the ignorant person, he must follow the scholars whom he trusts. He is not permitted to seek a dispensation from another scholar's opinion that condones a sin he is committing; rather, he must repent from it. For whoever seeks out the dispensations of every scholar will have gathered all evil.
