Is the owner of camels liable for the blood money of those killed in an accident caused by his camels at night?

The car driver bears the diyah (blood money) if he was negligent in his driving. However, the owner of stray camels does not bear the diyah, because "the injury caused by an animal is without liability," according to an agreed-upon hadith. Ibn al-Mundhir mentioned that scholars unanimously agreed that the owner of a runaway animal is not liable for what it causes.
