Is it permissible for someone who has never married (whether a man or a woman) and is over forty or fifty years old to learn the rulings of marriage and teach them to people, especially if they are a scholar and a preacher, taking into account society's view? And is it permissible for someone under thirty to learn the rulings of marriage, or must they wait until they get married or engaged?

Learning the rulings of Islamic law is one of the greatest acts of obedience, and it is required in all chapters of fiqh without an age restriction. Learning these rulings becomes obligatory upon the accountable individual if they need them to act upon them, such as the rulings concerning buying and selling, marriage, and divorce. Other than that, it is a fard kifayah (communal obligation). It is not a condition for one who teaches the rulings of marriage to be married; rather, it is a condition that they be qualified with beneficial knowledge and sound understanding.
