Has a ḥadīth been narrated that prohibits sneezing to the right or to the front? And is what is established the covering of the face with the palms or with a garment?

The prophetic Sunnah regarding sneezing is for the sneezer to cover their nose and mouth and lower their voice. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "When he sneezed, he would cover his face with his hand or with his garment, and he would lower his voice thereby." Scholars also advised against turning the head right or left when sneezing, as this could harm the sneezer themselves. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned that the wisdom behind covering the face and lowering the voice is to avoid harming the person sitting next to one, and the wisdom behind not twisting the neck is to avoid harm. As for the prohibition of turning right or spitting forward, it pertains to clearing the throat and spitting, not to sneezing.
