What are the rights of a wife, a daughter, and a stepdaughter from another husband, in the event that a man working in the الخليج (Gulf) divorces his wife who has a daughter, knowing that he did not specify a dowry for her, but she has a deferred dowry?
If the wife stipulates a condition in her marriage contract that benefits her, she has the right to annul the marriage if the husband does not fulfill the condition.
However, if the husband is unable to fulfill the condition due to an excuse, the wife does not have the right to annul the marriage, unless the wife is significantly harmed, in which case she may request a divorce.
If a divorce occurs and the wife is pregnant, she is entitled to maintenance and lodging until she gives birth, and she is entitled to the agreed-upon dowry. The husband is obligated to provide for the newborn after its birth. As for her daughter from a previous husband, her maintenance is the responsibility of her father, and the current husband is not obligated to provide for her.
