Is looking at forbidden things considered among the major sins that are not expiated by Friday to Friday and prayer to prayer, as stated in the Hadith: "Friday to Friday, and prayer to prayer are expiations for what is between them, provided that major sins are avoided"?

Allah Almighty commanded us to lower our gaze, and casting one's gaze upon what is forbidden is prohibited, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The eyes commit zina, and their zina is looking." This is one of the minor sins that are expiated by good deeds and by avoiding major sins. However, persistence in it transforms it into a major sin. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called it zina due to its seriousness, because it leads to it. He, peace and blessings be upon him, also said: "The glance is a poisoned arrow from the arrows of Iblis." It is not permissible for a Muslim to be lenient with a sin on the pretext that it is not a major sin, for if minor sins accumulate upon a person, they destroy him.
