Should a congregant interrupt the first Tashahhud to follow the Imam, or complete it and then stand?
If the Imam stands for the third unit of prayer (rak'ah) and the worshiper (ma'mum) has not completed the Tashahhud, it is permissible for the worshiper to delay to complete the Tashahhud. This does not cause harm and the worshiper has an excuse.
