Is it permissible to interact with and acquire a robot for study and the acquisition of knowledge?

There is no objection to dealing with robots by buying, selling, or using them, as their ruling is the same as that of other machines. However, they must not be in the form of a human, otherwise it is not permissible to use them, because in that case they would take the ruling of forbidden statues and images.
