Which is better: to commit sodomy or fornication, if one of the two abominations must be committed due to compelling circumstances, such as living in a country that believes in communism?

A Muslim must avoid indecencies, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not approach indecencies — what is apparent of them and what is concealed," and His saying: "Say, 'My Lord has only forbidden indecencies — what is apparent of them and what is concealed.'" Homosexuality is more reprehensible than adultery, and both are a great danger. One must abstain from them and cut off lust by remembering the warning (of Allah's punishment), seeking help through supererogatory fasting, marriage, lowering the gaze, accompanying the righteous, and emigrating from corrupt environments.
