What is the ruling on a father who took his two newborn daughters out of the incubator because their growth was not complete and due to the cost of the incubator, knowing that he did not take the second one out until after the death of the first?

If a father takes his two daughters out of the nursery with bad intentions, he is sinful. However, if he takes them out to avoid exorbitant costs and intends to raise them in another way, there is no blame on him, unless their stay in the nursery was essential for their lives. In that case, he must strive for their continued stay, otherwise, he is accountable.

If his action caused their death, he is liable for the blood money (Diyya) for each one, unless the heirs forgive him, and for expiation (Kaffara), which is freeing a believing slave, and if he cannot find one, then fasting for two consecutive months for each one.

If the father had no means to save his two daughters and the hospital compelled him to take them out, then there is no sin on him, no expiation, and no blood money.
