What are the reasons for divorce that the Sharia recognises?

The causes of divorce are numerous and cannot be exhaustively enumerated. Among them are: the wife's lack of righteousness in her religion or character, the husband's inability to fulfill the wife's rights, the man's disinclination towards his wife, the wife's rebellion (nushooz), or one of the parents ordering a divorce for a valid, recognized reason.
