Is it Islamically permissible for a Muslim to be taught by a non-Muslim teacher at university?

It is permissible for a Muslim to learn from a non-Muslim, based on what has been established regarding the children of the Companions learning writing from the polytheist prisoners of Badr. However, it is stipulated that learning should not lead to the student being tempted in their religion, or include teachings that contradict the Islamic faith.
