Is it permissible for me to sacrifice a one-eyed, blind sheep?

The sacrificial animal must be free from defects. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified four defects that are not permissible in sacrificial animals, among them: "The one-eyed animal, whose defect is obvious," meaning the one whose eye has gone and sunken. This diminishes its value because the fat of the eye is a desirable organ. However, if there is a white film over its eye, but the eye itself is not gone, then sacrificing it is permissible because that does not diminish its meat.

If the one-eyed defect is obvious, the sacrifice is not valid. If it is not obvious, it is valid. However, it is better to avoid sacrificing a one-eyed animal altogether.
