What is the ruling on a non-resident, non-authority figure leading the congregational prayer on Friday, after requesting to do so from the mosque's Imam and preacher?

Scholars differed regarding the validity of a traveler leading the Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer if he does not intend to stay for four days. Some, like Ibn Qudamah, prohibited it, while others, like Abu Hanifa, Al-Shafi'i, and Malik, permitted it for the traveler. However, if he is a resident whose stay cuts off the ruling of travel, then there is no harm in his imamate, though the regular imam has precedence.
