Does Allah answer a supplication by invoking Him to deny success or to bring about a specific outcome when disagreeing with someone?

Supplications are not answered if they involve aggression or severing ties of kinship, for Allah Almighty says: ﴿Call upon your Lord in humility and secretly. Indeed, He does not like aggressors.﴾ [Al-A'raf: 55], and for the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "A servant will continue to have his supplications answered as long as he does not pray for a sin or for the severing of ties of kinship." Supplicating against a Muslim merely due to a difference of opinion or a divergence in viewpoints is an act of injustice, and the supplication of an oppressor is not answered. However, if the supplication is rightful, such as when it involves injustice, then it is permissible, and the supplication of the oppressed is answered, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.
