مَنِ الشَّخْصُ الَّذِي قَتَلَ ابْنَ وَدٍّ الْعَامِرِيَّ؟

The person who killed Amr ibn Abd Wadd al-Amiri al-Qurashi was Amir al-Mu'minin Ali, may Allah be pleased with him. This occurred during the Battle of the Trench in the fifth year of the Hijra. Historians and biographers have mentioned that horsemen from Quraysh breached the trench, and among them was Amr ibn Abd Wadd, the horseman of Quraysh who had fought on the Day of Badr. When Ali saw him, he challenged him to single combat. They fought until Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, killed him, and his cavalry retreated in defeat.
