How can the supplication of Abraham (peace be upon him) for security in the Sacred Land be reconciled with the Qarmatian attack on it?

The security of the Sacred House is affirmed by the texts of the Holy Quran, such as "And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security" and "and whoever enters it shall be safe." Its proofs are not limited to the supplication of Abraham (peace be upon him). The fact that Allah answered Abraham's supplication by making the Sacred House secure does not mean absolute security at all times; rather, it is predominantly secure. Incidental incidents of fear that occur, such as the Qarmatian incident or what the Prophet mentioned about the destruction of the Kaaba by Dhul-Suwayqatayn, are exceptions followed by the return of security, and this does not contradict the verses. Some scholars are of the view that the mentioned security is a legislative security by Allah's rulings, not a pre-ordained security.
