Is thinking that what is happening—in terms of signs and indicators—is a testament to God’s love for His servant considered to be having a good an opinion of God, or is it merely a delusion?

Everything that befalls a servant is by the decree of Allah the Almighty, and it is not possible to definitively assert that certain signs indicate love or its absence; for this is from the knowledge of the unseen. These signs may be a mercy, a reminder, an admonition, or a proof from Allah. Whoever experiences such things should ponder and pay attention, in fulfillment of His, the Almighty's, saying: "And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind."
