What are the signs of Allah's love for His servant, and how can the servant be certain of Allah's love and His pleasure with him?

Love of Allah is the nourishment of hearts and souls and the light of life. Signs of Allah's love for His servant include: following the Prophet (peace be upon him), humility towards believers and might against disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah, fearing none but Him, drawing closer through supererogatory acts of worship, loving, visiting, giving to and advising one another for the sake of Allah, and experiencing trials. Among the fruits of Allah's love are: people's love for him and acceptance on Earth, Allah becoming his hearing, sight, hand, and foot, and being granted what he asks for and protected from what he seeks refuge from.
