The answer

The original principle governing a rental contract (ijara) is its binding nature unless both parties agree otherwise. The employee (ajeer) is entitled to their wage as long as they have made themselves available for work. This is the view of the majority of scholars. The Hanafis, however, permit the annulment of an ijara contract due to a sudden, unforeseen impediment (udhr tari), such as someone being forced to move to another country. If the work schedule changes and the number of days decreases, the driver must reduce the fare; otherwise, the hirer has the right to annul the contract, and the driver will receive payment proportionate to the work performed. However, if the driver wishes to calculate the fare on the basis of individual days at a higher rate, this constitutes a new contract that you have not agreed upon, and he does not have the right to impose it.
