The answer

If the marriage contract has not yet been concluded, then either party may dissolve the engagement whenever they wish, for a reason or without a reason, and this is not an injustice. However, if the contract has been concluded but the wedding ceremony has not taken place, you do not have the right to annul the marriage. Rather, you must seek a divorce from the husband or the court. It is the wife's right to have independent housing, and she is not obliged to live with the husband's family. The wedding feast (walimah) is a Sunnah and not obligatory according to the majority of jurists. It is advisable to reach an understanding with the husband before seeking a divorce.
