Does extreme joy or extreme sorrow nullify the protective spiritual incantations (tahseen)?

If what is meant by protection is protection through remembrance (dhikr) and reciting the Quran from devils, envy, and magic, then the texts of the Sunnah have stated that whoever recites certain remembrances, these remembrances will be a protection for him from Satan. And whoever claims that extreme joy or sorrow invalidates them must provide proof.

Examples of these hadiths include: - The hadith of Abu Hurairah: "Whoever says: 'La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir' (There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent) one hundred times in a day, it will be for him equivalent to freeing ten slaves, and one hundred good deeds will be written for him, and one hundred bad deeds will be erased from him, and it will be a protection for him from Satan on that day until evening." - The hadith of Abu Dharr: "Whoever says after the Fajr prayer, while still sitting with his legs folded, before speaking: 'La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd, yuhyi wa yumit, wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir' (There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent) ten times – Allah will write for him ten good deeds, erase ten bad deeds from him, raise him ten degrees, and he will be protected from all disliked things throughout that day, and guarded from Satan." - The hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr: That the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say upon entering the mosque: "A'udhu billahil-Azim wa bi wajhihil-karim wa sultanihil-qadim minash-shaytanir-rajim" (I seek refuge with Allah, the Almighty, and by His Noble Countenance, and His Eternal Authority, from the accursed Satan). When he said that, Satan would say: "He has been protected from me for the rest of the day."
