The answer

She must understand that if her ex-fiancé were destined to be her husband, he would have been. Therefore, she should not blame herself or regret what has passed, for marriage is a provision decreed fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth. She should reflect on the words of Allah Almighty: {No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We create it – indeed that, for Allah, is easy – in order that you not grieve over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like every self-deluded and boastful [person]} [Al-Hadid: 22-23], and ponder the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If something befalls you, do not say, 'If only I had done such and such,' but rather say, ' Allah wa ma sha'a fa'al (Allah has decreed and what He willed has occurred),' for 'if only' opens the door to the work of Satan."
