Is it permissible to take off the socks and suffice with the leather slippers, wiping over them in the subsequent ablution, if wearing the socks and slippers was done while in a state of ritual purity?

If socks are worn over a state of purity, it is permissible to wipe over them. If leather socks (khuff) are worn over them after wiping over the socks, it is not permissible to wipe over the leather socks. However, if the leather socks are worn over the socks before wiping over the socks, then it is permissible to wipe over the outer leather socks. If the wiped-over leather socks are removed, the correct view is that the purification (taharah) does not become invalid. However, it is not permissible to re-wear the removed leather socks and wipe over them before re-performing ablution (wudu'). Whenever both the leather socks and the socks are removed after wiping over them, it is not permissible to re-wear only the leather socks and wipe over them until ablution is re-performed.
