The answer

Allah has urged Muslims to guard their chastity and promised them Paradise if they do so. Allah Almighty says: (Successful indeed are the believers those who humble themselves in their prayers; who avoid vain talk; who are charitable; who guard their chastity except with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for in that case they are not to be blamed; but whoever seeks beyond that are transgressors) [Surat Al-Mu’minun: 1-7]. It is also narrated in the : "Guarantee for me six things from yourselves, and I will guarantee for you Paradise: ...and guard your chastity." As for the practice of the bad habit (masturbation), it is forbidden according to the majority of scholars, as it is considered seeking beyond what Allah has made lawful, and thus, its perpetrator is among the transgressors. One must repent from this and compel oneself to stay away from this habit by seeking Allah's help.
