How do those lower look upon those higher, and those higher look upon those lower, regarding the blessings of this world and of faith?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Regarding worldly matters, a Muslim should look to those below him, so that he may be more inclined not to disdain Allah's blessings upon him, and that his gratitude to his Lord may be sustained, as stated in the noble Hadith. As for matters of religion, he should strive to surpass those above him and compete in matters of the Hereafter, and exert himself to be foremost in attaining Allah's pleasure, rather than competing in transient worldly affairs and its fleeting pleasures, realizing that perfection lies in the bliss of the Hereafter.
