Is it advisable to complete a research project on homosexuality and its impact on societies, or is it preferable to remain silent about it to prevent discord?

As long as the purpose of writing the research aligns with the objectives of Islamic law—namely, forbidding indecencies, clarifying their effects and causes of spread in order to combat and treat them—then its creation and publication are permissible. It will be considered among the righteous deeds of its author, falling under the category of enjoining good, forbidding evil, offering sincere advice, and warning against evil. Scholars have done this since ancient times, such as Imam Abu Bakr Al-Ajurri in his book: (The Censure of Sodomy).
