Does seeking forgiveness increase wealth and children, as stated in Surat Nuh, and how can preordained sustenance increase, given the saying "There is no trickery in sustenance"?

Seeking forgiveness is a reason for an increase in wealth and offspring, as Allah Almighty says: {And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [copious] showers. And give you increase in wealth and sons} [Noah: 10-12]. However, sins may prevent sustenance, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a man may be deprived of sustenance because of a sin he commits."

Allah has decreed the destinies of creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth.

Destiny is of two types: an unalterable decree that does not change, and a suspended decree that can change through supplication, charity, and seeking forgiveness. This is why Allah Almighty said: {Allah erases what He wills and establishes [what He wills], and with Him is the Mother of the Book} [Ar-Ra'd: 39].

Therefore, the suspended decree can be changed by maintaining kinship ties, honoring parents, righteous deeds, supplication, and seeking forgiveness.
