Will a person be rewarded for helping others in their work and volunteering to direct traffic?

What you do—helping those who are negligent in their work and organizing traffic in the absence of a traffic officer—is a great good and a tremendous reward, if you do it seeking nearness to Allah, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people."
