Is the Hadith "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book" abrogated?

The aforementioned Hadith is authentic, and its wording is: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book (Surat al-Fatihah)." Some scholars have said that it is abrogated. Some have gone to the extent that the one being led in prayer (ma'mum) should recite in silent prayers and remain silent in audible prayers. Some consider this Hadith to abrogate another Hadith, which is his (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book therein"; they argue with a disconnected Hadith from Abu al-Aliyah that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed, his Companions would recite behind him, until the verse was revealed: "And when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy." So, the people became silent, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recited. Others believe that the Hadith is abrogated by the Qur'an.

The most preponderant and authoritative view for us is to act upon the Hadith, and that reciting Al-Fatihah is obligatory for every worshipper.
