How sound is the attribution of this Hadith to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever abandons the Fajr prayer, there will be no light in his face; whoever abandons the Dhuhr prayer, there will be no blessing in his provision; whoever abandons the Asr prayer, there will be no strength in his body; whoever abandons the Maghrib prayer, there will be no fruit in his children; and whoever abandons the Isha prayer, there will be no comfort in his sleep"?

This hadith, and other similar ones, have not been attributed to the books of Sunnah, nor is their origin known. Therefore, their distribution and dissemination must be prevented. Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan also affirmed that it has no basis, and that the warning against abandoning prayer came in the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah, such as his (peace be upon him) saying: "Between a servant and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer," and his saying: "The covenant between us and them is prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved," and Allah Almighty's saying about the criminals: "What admitted you to Saqar? They said: 'We were not among those who prayed.'" Therefore, it is not permissible to disseminate this hadith or attribute it to the Prophet (peace be upon him); rather, it is obligatory to warn against it.
