Is it permissible to use a traditional wood-burning stove for heating on very cold winter nights, knowing the hadith: "Indeed, this fire is an enemy to you, so when you sleep, extinguish it from yourselves"?

It is recommended to extinguish lamps and put out fires when going to sleep, for fear of the house catching fire inadvertently, due to what has been reported in the Sunnah encouraging this. The command to extinguish fire is understood by the majority of jurists as a recommendation, not an obligation. This recommendation ceases if there is no risk of fire, such as when the fire is in a place inaccessible to mice or cannot cause a fire, or if there is a need to keep it lit while taking the necessary precautions.
