Should a wife perform ghusl, fast, and pray Ramadan despite the continued discharge of brown blood since childbirth?

The maximum duration of postpartum bleeding (nifas) is forty days, according to the preponderant opinion. If a woman sees blood after the fortieth day, it is considered irregular bleeding (istihadah), which does not prevent prayer or fasting, unless it coincides with her regular menstrual period or has the characteristics of menstrual blood.

The wife must make up any prayers she missed after the fortieth day, and she should fast Ramadan with irregular bleeding (istihadah), but she should refrain from fasting if her regular menstrual period begins.
