There is no objection to naming a female "Juwana" (جوانة), which means a young woman, while "Juwan" (جوان) is a male name meaning a young man. It is not permissible to name a male with a female name or vice versa. The name "Juwan" (جوان) is pronounced with a ḍamma (ضمّة) on the letter jīm (ج) and a fatḥa (فتحة) on the letter wāw (و).
