How can one get rid of the feeling of guilt about failing to fulfill a trust and responsibility in evaluating a student, especially when one's personal evaluation contradicts that of a higher-ranking colleague?

The religious duty is to give the student the grade they deserve without favoritism, and this is part of fulfilling the trust that Allah has commanded, for He says: "And those who are to their trusts and their covenants attentive," and His saying: "Indeed, the best of those you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy." Therefore, one must repent to Allah and correct the mistake by informing the head of the department of the truth, and be mindful of Allah to avoid falling into such a situation in the future, for "There is no faith for him who has no trustworthiness, and no religion for him who has no covenant." The trust may be sent on the Day of Judgment and stand on the two sides of the Sirat (bridge), and people will be questioned about their trusts at the second Qantara.
