The perpetrator of the act of the people of Lot is known as a "Looti," attributed to them, which is linguistically correct as it is attributed to the second part of an genitive construction if the first part is only identified by it. "Liwāṭ" is the verbal noun of the verb "lāwaṭa" and means the act of the people of Lot, not an attribution. The Prophet Lot, peace be upon him, was the one who forbade this reprehensible act. And Allah destroyed his people because they committed this abomination.
