What is the impediment to replacing the words "homosexual" (lūṭī) and "homosexuals" (lūṭiyyīn) with "those who committed the act of the people of Lot," in reference to their repulsive deed and not in reference to the Prophet of God, Lot, peace be upon him?

The word "liwāṭ" (sodomy) is a customary reality that people recognized before and after Islam, and it is found in Arabic lexicons. Its derivation from the name of the Prophet Lut (Lot) does not mean attributing the act to him, but rather attributing it to his people who committed the abomination. The word has appeared in Prophetic traditions (Aḥādīth) and was used by the Companions and the Successors, which indicates its acceptance in Islamic law.
