Are misdeeds multiplied in Ramadan, just as good deeds are multiplied?

A Muslim must constantly strive against his self and against Iblis (Satan), and he must frequently repent and seek forgiveness. The month of Ramadan is the best of months; good deeds are multiplied therein and evil deeds are magnified. Thus, a sin committed therein is more grievous than one committed at other times, and an act of obedience therein yields greater reward. One must seize the opportunity of Ramadan with acts of worship and by abandoning evil deeds. An evil deed is always recompensed with its like and is not multiplied in number, neither in Ramadan nor at any other time. However, a good deed is multiplied tenfold, up to many multiples, as Allah Almighty says: (Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times its like, and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except with its like; and they will not be wronged). In virtuous places, such as the Two Holy Sanctuaries (Mecca and Medina), good deeds are multiplied many times over, while evil deeds are not multiplied quantitatively but are magnified qualitatively.
