Which is better in tasbeeh: making tasbeeh a great number of times (20,000 times), or making tasbeeh with the comprehensive formula (Subhan Allah adada khalqihi wa midada kalimatihi wa zinata arshihi)? And what is the ruling on using prayer beads (subhah) to count the number of tasbeehat, tahmidat, and istighfarat?

The remembrance (dhikr) using the words: "Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, as many times as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne, and as much as the ink of His words," is superior to mere remembrance. This is due to its profound meanings and its praise of Allah for His perfection and majesty.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) clarified the virtue of this remembrance, stating that it outweighs other forms of dhikr and surpasses the remembrance performed throughout the entire night and day.

As for using prayer beads (misbahah) for dhikr, it is permissible, though using one's hands is preferable.
