Is it permissible to attach a braid cut from hair to my own hair?

The jurists have agreed on the prohibition of a woman connecting her hair with human hair, due to the generality of the authentic hadiths that explicitly state this. The Hanafi scholars have explicitly stated that the hair of the woman who connects it falls under this ruling if she wishes to connect it after it has separated from her. It is stated in Al-Fatawa al-Hindiyyah: "And connecting hair with human hair is forbidden, whether it is her hair or the hair of another." The general texts reported from the scholars of the other madhhabs also indicate this.
