How can we reconcile the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Supplicate for me for Al-Wasilah, for it is a station that behooves none but one servant of God, and I hope that I am he," with his saying to Rabiah ibn Ka’b Al-Aslami: "Help me against yourself by prostrating much"? And is it possible to accompany the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Paradise? What are the means to achieve that? Will the companion have the same blessings as the Prophet? And does the verse: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger – those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions," mean companionship with the same blessings and rank?

Al-Wasilah is a special station in Paradise or its highest degree, and it is exclusive to the Prophet, peace be upon him. As for the request to accompany the Prophet, peace be upon him, in Paradise, as Rabia said, it means seeking his companionship and proximity, not equality in the degree of Al-Wasilah or in blessings. There is no contradiction between the two hadiths. The way to accompany the Prophet, peace be upon him, in Paradise is through obedience to Allah and His Messenger, devotion in their love, frequent prostration, and sponsoring orphans, for Allah Almighty says: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions." And all the people of Paradise will be content with the blessings they have, even if their degrees vary. And everyone who obeys Allah and His Messenger will be with the Messenger in one abode, enjoying seeing him and being in his presence, even if their degrees vary.
