What is the authenticity of the hadith: "They will exit it in throngs just as they entered it in throngs," and is it among the signs of the Hour?

The meaning of the aforementioned Hadith becomes clear from the interpretation of Surat An-Nasr (The Victory). Ibn Abbas and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) interpreted it as an announcement of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) approaching death after the conquest of Mecca and the people entering the religion of Allah in multitudes. After its revelation, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to frequently glorify Allah (tasbih) and seek forgiveness (istighfar), and interpret the Qur'an.

As for the Hadith "They will exit it in multitudes just as they entered it in multitudes," Al-Hakim authenticated it, while Al-Albani weakened its addition, and Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut weakened it due to the unknown identity of its narrator, indicating a disagreement among scholars regarding its authenticity.

However, authentic narrations have indicated the gradual weakening of Muslims' adherence to their religion in the End of Times, until those who cling to it become strangers or like those grasping hot coals. And that the bonds of Islam will be undone successively, the first being governance and the last being prayer. Furthermore, Ahadith have been reported concerning the apostasy of groups from the Ummah and the worship of idols before the Hour, which will not be established except upon the worst of people.
